After almost 20 years, the Graeco-Roman Museum of Alexandria is now open again to the public. The IEASM is very happy that a selection of objects recovered during the team's underwater research in Aboukir Bay and the eastern port of Alexandria forms part of the new permanent collection. Visitors will now have the opportunity to see these ancient treasures in person.

The inauguration took place in the presence of Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa, the Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna, the Minister of Culture Nevine El-Kilani, and the Governor of Alexandria Mohamed El-Sherif.
