“At 16 years old, I read a book (‘Tombs, Travel and Trouble’ by Lawrence Griswold) and have loved archaeology ever since. I love digging in the dirt… actually it’s more than that… I love the whole process: finding things, studying them, forming theories, consulting with experts on the subject, and forming results – thus learning something new. It’s fascinating to be part of a team that is helping to find a history that no one knew before.”
“My favorite moment was on the 10th of October 1998, when I found the prettiest sphinx (yes! I am prejudiced!) in the world. It was the most exciting find of my life --- I can’t imagine anything better. I was new to the team then. Now I’ve found many other nice artifacts, but none will ever surpass the excitement of finding that sphinx!”
